What does it mean to be an Active Member of the KC Pioneers?

An Active or Full Member of the Pioneers is required to vote at the Club's monthly meetings, assist at Pioneer functions (especially Trail's End Leather Runs) and help promote the Leather/Levi lifestyle. You are encouraged to attend all Pioneer functions. Your sponsor and Pledge Captain can answer any questions and assist you through the Pledge process.

To become a pledge, an applicant for full member status must first attend at least two general meetings, live within 50 miles of our home bar per by-laws  and have two sponsors.  

How much does it cost to join?

$20 to join, with $120/year dues and $5/month during pledge period.

You need to follow these steps:

Attend KC Pioneers events—runs, socials, workshops, or fundraisers. Get to know the members and let them get to know you. There's a minimum of 2 monthly Club Meetings to let us know you're serious.

Speak directly with a Full Member or email the Pledge Captain at Officers@KCPioneers.org to express your interest. You’ll be guided through the expectations and timeline for pledging.

You’ll need 2 Full Members to sponsor you as a pledge. These people will vouch for your commitment and help guide you through the process.

Once accepted, you’ll enter a pledge period where you’ll learn club history, attend meetings, and participate in service and events. You'll receive a Pledge Booklet. Don't lose it! You'll use it to collect signatures and notes from every full member. This is your time to show up, contribute, and connect.

After completing the pledge process and receiving club approval, you’ll be welcomed as a Full Member—with all the rights, responsibilities, and pride that come with it.
